This site is for you who have been victimized to tell your story. This site is for you who live in the City of Beacon, NY who desire to live here safely and threat-free. To those who have perpetrated crimes against residents of the City of Beacon, fear us. We are taking our Power back. The Silence and the Threats End Here.
In 2005, the US Attorney's Office through it's Civil Rights Division,
issued a 25 page letter containing Recommendations for Policy and Management for
the City of Beacon Police Department.
In November 2007, Federal investigators met with Beacon officials and the
newly elected City of Beacon government.
The city submitted to the Department of
Justice a new 'Police Handbook' that included policies and procedures that
conform with the Federal Guidelines.
Why, in 2008, are we still experiencing serious crimes against residents perpetrated by our police department?
Victims of Police Brutality
vs. the City of Beacon, NY
Police Department
Posts on this site are actual accounts, told in the voice of the victim of the brutality. The people who tell these stories are our neighbors. Names have been witheld to protect victims from future terrorism.
We encourage all who have experienced brutality to tell their story here. Justice can only be served when all the Voices have been Heard.
I am a sibling of one of the people who was victimized. I am outraged by how the situation was handled. These people are supposed to protect, not harm. Their day will come where they will have to take responsibility for their actions. The police are not above the law. We will fight to the end and we will not back down!
